Prayer: The Real Warm-Up

Week 5Week 7
🏐Receive

Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

🏐Set

No serious athlete skips the warm-up. You stretch, you move, you prepare your body for what's coming. Skipping it means you're going into the game cold — and that's when injuries happen.

Prayer is the spiritual warm-up. It's how you prepare your heart and mind for the day. It's how you stay connected to God in the middle of the chaos. It's how you trade anxiety for peace.

God isn't looking for perfect prayers. He's looking for honest ones. Talk to Him like He's real — because He is.

🏐Attack

Father, I bring You everything I'm carrying today. Thank You that I don't have to figure it out alone. Guard my heart and mind with Your peace. Amen.

🏐Block

I block the lie that prayer is optional or that God doesn't hear me. Prayer is my direct line to God — and He always listens.

🏐Dig

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NIV)

"Pray continually."

🏐Serve
  1. 1

How consistent is your prayer life right now — and what gets in the way?

  2. 2

What would it look like to bring your anxiety to God in prayer instead of carrying it yourself?
