James 1:2-4 (NIV)
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
Every great athlete has a moment when they want to quit. The season is long. The losses pile up. The body is tired. The mind is done. That's the moment that separates the good from the great — not talent, but the decision to keep going.
God uses those moments. He doesn't waste the hard seasons. The testing of your faith isn't punishment — it's production. It's building something in you that can't be built any other way.
Don't quit. Not on your team. Not on your faith. Not on yourself. Let perseverance finish its work.
God, give me the strength to keep going when I want to quit. Help me to trust that You are building something in me through every hard moment. Amen.
I block the lie that quitting is the answer. God is building perseverance in me through every trial — and I will let it finish its work.
Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
What are you most tempted to quit right now — and what's driving that temptation?
How does knowing God is building something in you through this trial change how you see it?
