Sin is not just breaking rules. It's choosing your way over God's way — and it always costs more than you planned to pay.
In volleyball, a bad serve doesn't just lose a point. It shifts momentum. It affects the team. It changes the game. Sin works the same way. It rarely stays contained. It spreads. It costs. It separates.
But the verse doesn't end with death. It ends with a gift. The wages of sin is death — but the gift of God is eternal life. That's the whole gospel in one sentence. You earned death. He gave you life. That's grace.
Lord, I don't want to minimize sin or pretend it doesn't matter. Help me to take it seriously — and to run back to Your grace every time I fall. Amen.
I block the lie that sin is no big deal. Sin has real consequences — but the gift of God is eternal life, and His grace is greater than my failure.
