Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
You are not an accident. You are not a mistake. You were not born into the wrong family, the wrong city, the wrong era. God placed you here — on purpose, for a purpose.
Jeremiah 29:11 was written to people in exile. People who had lost everything and couldn't see how any of it could be part of a plan. And God said: I know the plans. Not "I'm figuring it out." I know.
Your purpose is not something you have to discover on your own. It's something God reveals as you walk with Him. Stay close. Stay obedient. Stay available. The purpose will become clear.
Lord, I trust that You have a plan for my life. Help me to walk closely with You so that Your purpose becomes clear — one step at a time. Amen.
I block the lie that I have to figure out my purpose on my own. God knows the plans He has for me — and I trust Him to reveal them as I walk with Him.
Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Do you believe God has a specific purpose for your life — and what makes that hard or easy to believe?
What is one step of obedience you can take this week that moves you closer to the purpose God has for you?
